\"\"Visited\u00a0Poldown caravan park<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0stayed a\u00a0couple nights. A small and cozy campsite nestled in well established woodland. Poldown is a couple of miles outside Helston and ideal for exploring both the Lizard and Penwith peninsulas.\"\" First stop Helston to meet up with Kate \u00a0@kate_wierenga<\/a>. Kate is running a Crowdfund Cornwall project to raise funds to print a book about birth spaces.<\/a>\"\"The Cornish mist came down as we drove down the Lizard to Britain’s most southerly point.<\/a> The sounding of the Lizard Lighthouse fog horns created a quite eerie atmosphere.\"\"Always good to catch up with \u00a0Ann, who makes some of the best Cornish pasties in the world.\u00a0@annspasties<\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0www.annspasties.co.uk<\/a>\"\"When you drive past a sign saying ‘Cherries for sale in Layby’ you just have to stop and check them out… then buy some… then eat them next. \"\"We first visited\u00a0Lower Treave in 2008<\/a>…\u00a0nice to pop back for a cuppa and a chat and see how things have grown at\u00a0Lower Treave Caravan & Camping park<\/a> \u00a0@LowerTreave<\/a>\"\"Richard Easy is staying @LowerTreave<\/a>\u00a0You can find out all about his adventures on the road on his ‘A Load of Nonsense’ blog<\/a>. Follow him on Twitter\u00a0@aloadofnonsense<\/a>\"\"In a layby at the Mullion turn, where the Kernow Kebabs van parks, we randomly met up with\u00a0@HelstonCarpets<\/a>\u00a0in their works MINI.\"\"Lovely sunset over west Cornwall, taken from the cliffs near Mullion Golf Club<\/a>. We were here to visit the Ocean BMW Charity Golf Day.<\/a>\u00a0\"\"@<\/a>FranchisCampsit<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0An ideally located campsite set in the heart of the Lizard peninsula. Really friendly, laid back owners who make you very welcome.\u00a0Check out their website for more info and availability.<\/a>\u00a0We stayed a couple of nights and really liked the place.\"\"The legendary\u00a0Lizard Green car park… where people come to explore the most southerly point in Britain… Proper Cornish down here.\"KynanceWho doesn’t like\u00a0Kynance Cove<\/a>? Stunning scenery and an amazing beach at low tide.\"\"Ticket @Tweet_Bus_Dog<\/a> happy to be out walking on the cliffs near Lizard village. Any of three directions out of Lizard village will take you to a different cove. Some of the walks around here are breathtaking and best viewed with a walk guide like @walkitcornwall<\/a> \"\"Kennack Sands car park is not currently open and there’s little room to turn a car at the end of the road. Nice beach with fascinating rock colours. \u00a0\"\"We stayed at\u00a0Little Trethvas Camping and Touring site<\/a>. Located about a mile from Lizard village. This is one of their Cornish holiday cottages. The campsite is run by a couple who visited the Lizard for 20 years before buying the site so they’re pretty clued up on places to visit.\u00a0\"\"Coverack<\/a> on the west coast of the Lizard. We were in the area looking for our friends at Lizard Ales.\"\"Lizard Ales<\/a> must be the only brewery in the world to be housed in a nuclear bunker. Located in what was formerly RAF Treleaver, the building is a huge relic of the Cold War, disused since the 1950s and too costly to remove.\"westtour16\"Lizard Ales make a beer called An Gof<\/a>, named after the celebrated Cornish hero Michael Joseph An Gof<\/a>… he’s the one on the right. He was the local blacksmith in St Keverne before leading the march to London<\/a> – and his death – in June 1497.\u00a0\"westtour17\"Porthleven where you get some great waves at high tide.<\/a> \"westtour18\"Penzance Promenade. It’s always a buzz to visit Penzance with its rich maritime history and heritage. “A beautiful place to visit – a wonderful place to live”<\/a>\"\" \"\"St Michael’s Mount, Penzance Bay as viewed from the next campsite we stayed at…\"\"Golden Gate<\/a> Campsite is a traditional style site and part of a Cornish smallholding. They provide local meats, poultry and eggs and have one of the best views in Cornwall. \"The<\/a>The view from Golden Gate Campsite across Mounts Bay. \"\"Minack Theatre<\/a>, overlooking Porthcurno beach near Lands End.
