Ocean Falmouth Open Day – Alverton Manor
Ocean Falmouth, as a local car dealership, are leading the way when it comes to utilising social media at a corporate level. However, their approach to keeping it ‘social’ doesn’t stop there…
At the weekend @Ocean_BMW and @OceanMINI took their show vehicles to the Alverton Manor Hotel in Truro where prospective owners could check out the cars within a social environment… a refreshing alternative to the usual salesroom experience; a new approach in ‘social marketing’.

Cornish Gin and Patis – South Western Distillery
We visited Tarquin at his Gin and Pastis distillery in St Ervan near Wadebridge. Tarquin takes great pride in producing his drinks….
“Everything takes place at our West Country distillery – from distillation to bottling and hand finishing each bottle. Batch by batch, we complete the process from start to finish.
Our one-shot distillation process, where we don’t blend it with a pre-made concentrate or concoction, means that every batch is ever so slightly different. We celebrate the fact that each batch is in some way unique by writing the tasting notes and batch number on the side of every bottle.
After all, we believe the human touch in everything is absolutely crucial for superiority.”
Each bottle is hand dipped in wax and a seal applied to the top before being individually signed by the distiller. No two bottle are the same. A unique presentation that compliments a unique flavour.
